General Statement
Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop is committed to managing its environmental impact and promoting its commitment to good practice as part of our artistic programming and operational planning and management and this commitment is intrinsic to our business and ethos.
We will strive to monitor and reduce energy consumption, improve energy efficiency, support sustainability through recycling and publicly promote our commitment through programming, within our building and through our partnerships with other organisations and businesses.
Waste & Recycling
Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop has recycling bins at workshop level for workshop waste. We also have bins for materials or off-cuts which can be re-used. Throughout the building we have bins for paper and cardboard.
In the kitchen we have bins for glass and food recycling. All users and visitors must ensure they are aware of Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop’s waste and recycling procedures.
Resources
We ask members, visitors and workshop users to be careful about energy use and to manage consumption of water, heat, electricity and waste. We welcome suggestions or examples of best practice as to how we can improve our management of resources.
Travel & Transport
Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop has good public transport links and is located on the Hawthornvale cycle path which we promote on our Visiting page. We have cycle racks at street and cycle path level.
