Julita Wojcik

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop welcomes Julita Wojcik, the second Royal Scottish Academy International Resident.
Julita will live and work at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop for a three month period.

A three month residency funded by the Royal Scottish Academy and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and hosted by Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.

By incorporating everyday activities in her projects she questions the boundaries between the spheres of life and art.

In her works, Julita Wojcik makes use for the most part of simple, everyday home activities, usually attributed to women, and transforms them into artistic activities. On the one hand, she underlines their unquestionable charm, on the over however, in the artist’s work, one can find stereotypes connected with so-called female roles.
