Clay Figure Weekend

Working with a life model this weekend course introduces clay modelling techniques and develops observational techniques to produce a small figure using air drying clay.

The course will teach:

  • Measuring skills
  • Anatomy and form
  • Clay application and texture

Included in the course price: Materials, Use of tools and 14 hours of self-directed learning to be used over the duration of the course.

Duncan Robertson studied at Edinburgh College of Art and went on to be awarded the King Edward VII scholarship to study in Munich. He was a former student of Eduardo Paolozzi and has exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally, with residencies in Norway, Australia and Germany.

Duncan has over twenty years teaching experience, he works as a freelance gallery educator at the Scottish National Galleries and is a long term tutor on ESW’s learning programme.
