We have a series of induction processes to introduce you to the facilities here at ESW and to cover Health and Safety information relevant to each type of use.
Most people working independently in the building will join to be a Member as it makes access cheaper and you are in the loop with us for lots of useful information through our monthly Members Opportunities Newsletter.
Inductions:
Working independently in the building
If you are going to be working here by booking sessions in the workshops and workspaces then you first of all need to do a Fire & Safety Building Induction.
Please email office@edinburghsculpture.org to organise this.
Ceramics or Plaster Workshop
If you are going to book to use the Ceramics or Plaster Workshops you need to have a short induction at the start of your first session.
Please book as normal and then email Technician@edinburghsculpture.org to let them know that it’s your first booking and you understand that you need to have an induction.
Metal or Wood Workshops
If you are going to use the Metal or Wood Workshops you will need to have a half day induction session before booking. They happen on Wednesday mornings and are in high demand.
Please email office@edinburghsculpture.org to ask to book this, specifying which workshop and what you are planning to to work on so we can organise this for you.
Casting Workshop
If you are going to use the Casting Workshop, for example for making sand or ceramic shell moulds, you will need to have an induction and project discussion before booking the space.
Please email Workshops@edinburghsculpture.org asking for a project planning meeting.
