Joanna Peace part of ART LATE at ESW on 15 August 2019

Organised by Edinburgh Art Festival, this evening begins with an exploration of the exhibitions at Scottish National Portrait Gallery, before continuing on to Travelling Gallery, and finishing with a reading by Joanna Peace at ESW.

Joanna Peace is an artist, writer and educator based in Glasgow. As part of ART LATE she will respond to Lucy Wayman’s work Clovehitch and its context on the Hawthornvale Path close to ESW.

Peace’s practice orbits around the act of writing, which is then transformed into public form, whether in publication, performance or moving image. She uses her writing to support others’ exhibitions and become the catalyst for building community.

Exhibitions include Cabinet Interventions, Pollok House, Glasgow (2018) and Voicing the Archive, CCA, Glasgow and ESW (2016) and performances including ‘Under the Dome’, Narrative, Friday Event, ECA (2017).
