We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Rose to Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop. One of this year’s Micro Residents, Sarah will spend 6 weeks at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop developing her practice and will have an Artist Talk to discuss her time at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.


Sarah Rose in an artist based in Glasgow. She graduated from Fine Art and Writing Studies at the University of Auckland in 2010 and with a Master of Fine Art from the Glasgow School of Art in 2012.

Micro Residencies

The Micro Residency programme is an annual open-submission residency opportunity for artists. It is primarily research based and is set up to foster experimentation, innovation and to support artists in the development of new work. Four six-week residencies are selected by a panel of invited arts professionals.

Selected artists receive:

  • £1,000 stipend
  • Studio
  • Accommodation
  • Support from the technical team
  • Support from the programme team
  • Access to all workshops / equipment / available spaces
  • 1 year’s Membership of Edinburgh Sculpure Workshop
