Plants and Pots with Charlotte Barker

Using clay coiling and slab-building techniques, you will design and build plant-pots in architectural, landscape and abstract forms. Design the best pot for a specific plant and make pots to suit your house or garden space, from mini window ledge containers to monster patio pots. We will use terracotta plant-pot clay and incorporate different colours of clay into the pots. You will also have the opportunity to glaze your work with a range of colours.

Charlotte Barker is a sculptor working primarily in ceramics. She graduated with MA Ceramics from Royal College of Art in 2015 and Glasgow School of Art in 2010. Recent exhibitions include Flotilla, Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, The Pioneers, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and Fresh, British Ceramics Biennial, Stoke-on-Trent.
