Smoke Fired Ceramics with Mella Shaw

Create your own smoke fired ceramics. This course will introduce you to hand-building with a focus on coiling in order to make a small group of objects which will be bisque fired. On Saturday 30 November, if you choose to, you can learn different decorating and masking techniques to smoke fire your work in a barrel.

Mella Shaw uses clay to make sculptural and installation work. She graduated with an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art, London in 2013 and since then has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally with Solo shows in London, Cambridge, Stockholm and Edinburgh.
