This course will introduce you to Pâte de Verre; a fascinating, ancient glass-making process where finely crushed glass is used to create colourful glassware. Over the course of three morning sessions you will make your model and refractory mould; carve/draw into the surface cavity to create your bas-relief design and, using glass powders, frits and glue binders, thin layers of glass paste will be packed into the mould and fired in the kiln to create your own thin walled glass vessel.
