In this course you will create an environment for a favourite indoor plant, taking inspiration from plant pots that exist in nature and Raoul Dufy’s ceramic architectural gardens, while exploring abstract forms. Whether it be sculptural hanging pots for spider plants, a small-scale architectural garden for succulents or a mountain range for your bonsai pine trees, all these plant pot forms are possible to form in clay.

Suitable for beginners or more experienced ceramicists.

This course will teach you clay coiling and slab building techniques to handbuild sculptural forms.  You will learn how to apply underglazes and add pigment to create a finished glazed piece. Please note that this course will take place outdoors.
