Description
This course is designed to provide a creative environment where you can continue working on your stone carvings while receiving expert guidance and inspiration from fellow carvers.
Over the 6 weekly group sessions at ESW, you’ll receive:
- Expert guidance and personalised feedback from the tutor
- Access to stone carving tools and shared facilities
- A chance to develop your skills in a collaborative and inspiring setting
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as dust masks and eye protection will be provided. All participants must wear their own safety shoes or boots—recommendations on suitable suppliers can be provided if needed.
Sessions will be held outdoors in ESW’s Courtyard Bays.
Please note This course is only suitable for individuals who have completed a Beginners Stone Carving course or have equivalent experience. It is not suitable for complete beginners.
Tutor: Alejandro Lopez
Alejandro Lopez is a graduate of the School of Fine Art, Neuquen, Argentina, and holds a degree in Art History from Edinburgh University. He has collaborated with Jorge Michelotti and has exhibited internationally in Argentina, Portugal, Greece and Scotland. Alejandro has also completed several public art commissions and is a long-term tutor with ESW’s Learning Programme.
