Working with a life model over an eight week period this very popular and absorbing course helps develop observational skills and demonstrates clay modelling techniques to create a portrait sculpture. With individually focussed attention from the tutor, over the eight  weeks you will learn about:

  • Clay application methods and texture
  • Anatomy, form, proportion and composition
  • Use of modelling tools and measuring
  • Developing your understanding of portraiture through sculptural expression
