Learn relief printing techniques, using found objects and architecture.
What does the course cover?
This hands-on one day workshop experiments with relief printing and inking techniques. Using a portable printmaking kit you will make prints ‘in the field’, exploring found objects and ESW’s building. The workshop encourages you to think about texture, place and display the prints sculpturally so that the details become part of a larger installation.
Who will this be great for?
Anyone interested in learning more about printmaking.
What level of experience do I need?
Perfect for beginners.
Who teaches it?
Fiona Maher trained at ECA – graduating in printmaking. She has begun to revisit this practice using it to develop community based printmaking projects, alongside teaching classes in a variety of printmaking techniques. She recently opened a small community access printmaking studio with a view to facilitating and offering an experience to those with creative intentions but few resources.
