ESW welcomes Uist Corrigan into Technical role

This May we are very pleased to welcome Uist Corrigan to join our team as a Technician. He will work to support all the artistic activity happening at ESW including facilitating access to the workshops.


Corrigan is an artist and technician with extensive experience of working with people in the context of sculpture workshops, residency centres and, most recently, in the direct learning environment of Portree High School. He was the Casting Technician at Edinburgh College of Art between 2018 and 2022 running cold and hot casting processes as well as building up ceramic firing facilities. Prior to that, he worked with local participants and international artists in residence at Scottish Sculpture Workshop in Aberdeenshire where be did casting, steel forging and woodworking. In a freelance capacity he has worked on projects with other artists and within gallery contexts as well as being involved in school and community-based activity.

He studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design and shown his work regularly in exhibitions including at Glasgow International in 2019 and Edinburgh Art Festival in 2017. You can read more about his work on his website.
