All welcome, come to the main reception on Hawthornvale

We are delighted to present the second Schools Sharing event this term: Micro Soft Worlds, an exhibition of ceramic sculptures made by P5 pupils from Victoria Primary School.

Through three visits to the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, pupils explored the fundamentals of working with clay—learning how to build, join, apply underglazes, and prepare their pieces for firing.

Each pupil began by designing a character inspired by their personal interests. In the following weeks, they worked in pairs to create imaginative “lands” for their characters, considering details like other inhabitants, activities, and landscapes.

We would like to thank Mrs Chapman, Mr Mclaughlin, the Primary 5 teachers, and the parent helpers who supported the sessions.

This exhibition is part of ESW’s Schools Programme find out more here.
