Course Booking and Cancellation Policy

Minimum Enrolment Levels
Courses are subject to minimum enrolment level which makes it feasible for us to continue with the course, so please book as soon as possible, so that we know early on that there are enough people booked in order to run the course and this will reduce the likelihood of course cancellation.

Communication prior to the course
You will receive a confirmation email when you book the course on our website, please check your junk or marketing inboxes if you can’t see it initially. Please make sure that office@edinburghsculpture.org and learning@edinburghsculpture.org are in your safe senders / white list within your email so that you can easily see correspondence from us as we often send more detailed information in advance of your course starting. If you don’t receive the confirmation, are concerned that you might have missed some information, or have any questions please email office@edinburghsculpture.org and learning@edinburghsculpture.org.

Access information
All the learning spaces are accessible and are near to accessible toilets. For more information please read our Visit Us page and contact us at any point with questions, or to send us information you want us to know.

Attendee contact information
If you are buying the course for another person please make sure that they receive all our communications and ideally that we have their direct contact information.

If you cannot attend the course
If you are unable to attend a course, please inform us as soon as possible that you want to cancel your course booking so that other people can have the chance to join the course.

Refunds when you cancel your booking
We will contact you in order to arrange for a refund to be issued to you if we receive notice of cancellation of a course booking at least 7 days prior to the course start date. Please note, when we process a cancellation of a course booking, there is a cancellation fee of 10% retained by Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop to help us to cover the costs of administrating this.

If you cancel within 7 days of the course start date there is no refund option available.

Refunds in other circumstances
A refund may be made in the event of the participant making a reasonable complaint as to the standard of the course. No more than 50% of the overall cost of the course shall be refunded in this case.

If the course cannot go ahead
Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop may have to cancel courses, in such cases we will endeavour to contact you a minimum of seven days before your class is due to begin, place you on another course if convenient, or offer you a full refund.

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop will not be liable for any other costs incurred or lost through the cancellation of the course.

Non‐attendance
If for some reason you’re unable to attend a course on a certain date please do inform us as soon as possible. This will help the tutor to try and accommodate what you have missed in any subsequent sessions. We are unable to provide additional classes or alternate dates for the participant to attend but there are some ways for you to work at ESW in your own time, usually this would require you to have a Building Induction in advance.

Substitution
Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop has the right to substitute the advertised tutors.

Non-transferable
Bookings for courses are non-transferable. You must attend the given course on the correct dates and at the stated times.

Complaints and Feedback
There is a feedback process set up at the end of each course but if you have a complaint, compliment or any other feedback about the courses programme and your experience of the courses, don’t wait until this point and any such comments can be addressed to Debi Banerjee, Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, 21 Hawthornvale, Edinburgh, EH6 4JT or sent to learning@edinburghsculpture.org.
