Hannah Imlach is an Edinburgh based artist working predominantly in sculpture and photography. Her work explores the nature of our relationship with the environment through the creation of sculptural ‘tools’ in imagined future scenarios.
As the first recipient of the Edinburgh Emerging Artist Bursary, funded by the Edinburgh Visual Artists and Craft Makers Awards and supported by Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.
Hannah will speak about the development of her practice this year, which has seen her creating larger and more ambitious work in a new studio space; engaging in multi-disciplinary and collaborative projects; travelling to Iceland for an artist residency; working with an artist mentor and experimenting with moving image.
