Description
In this course, you will start by creating a clay maquette to guide your work. Afterward, you’ll receive a block of limestone (20cm – 30cm²) to begin your carving. The tutor will show you how to mark out your design and teach you how to use hand tools to shape the stone. Over the 6 weeks, you’ll work at your own pace, receiving one-on-one guidance and group demonstrations of techniques.
The course includes:
- 6 group sessions, once per week, at ESW
- Expert guidance and feedback
- Course materials and access to stone carving tools
Sessions will take place in our outdoor Courtyard Bays.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as dust masks and eye protection will be provided. All participants must wear their own safety shoes or boots (we can advise on suppliers).
