Featured Course Jesmo-Days. Mould making with Jesmonite

Jesmo-Days. Mould making with Jesmonite with Jack Cheetham

Dates  Saturdays, 22 & 29 February
Time
10am-4pm
Price   £200 (£180)

A two-day introduction to mould making and casting with Jesmonite, an acrylic resin which is a safer and more environmentally conscious alternative to resin and fibreglass. You will make moulds from silicone, clay and recycled plastic, to create your own colour palettes for casts. We will experiment with adding other materials to the Jesmonite to create different painterly effects and finishes such as terrazzo or marbling and finish the pieces by sealing, carving and polishing them. By the end of the course you will have produced a number of unique Jesmonite tests, colour samples, objects/vessels and mould making ideas, which can potentially be used for making products, objects and sculptures in the future.
