For Line Drawings Alice Dudgeon presents a new family of steam-bent, carved, and ebonised walnut sculptures, evoking the shapes and patterns observed on her daily walk to the studio. Translated from preliminary ink drawings, Line Drawings sees Dudgeon’s intricate sculpted forms presented on a support structure by Oisín Gallagher.
Defined by the irregularity of natural materials and traces of the hand, Dudgeon’s wooden forms are crafted by repetitive and labour-intensive processes. Recent and upcoming exhibitions include: Alice Dudgeon, Selected Works (2022) Open Eye Gallery, Winnowing in the Wind (2022) Upright Gallery, and Artful Craft (2022) MAKE Southwest. She was a recipient of the Graduate Studio Bursary at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop in 2019.

Oisín Gallagher’s practice manifests itself primarily in sculpture, furniture-design, and performative happenings. Often working collaboratively, his structures support and facilitate the work of artists, curators, performers, and chefs. Gallagher is working towards a residency at Maruseppu Art Residency & Studio, Japan (2023), and Apricity, an evening with… at Project Arts Centre, Dublin (2023).
