EMOTES is an exhibition made by 150 primary 5 pupils given a year of support and complete creative control to make a collection of new installations, ceramics, performances and prints.

This year the classes have been working with a diverse selection of some of the most exciting and emerging artists in Scotland, including: Charlotte Barker, Adam Benmakhlouf, Nick Evans, Adam Gandy, Ashanti Harris, Lara MacLeod, Kate Owens, Aniela Piasecka, Ciara Phillips, Dougal Marwick and Chris Logan from Touch design agency.

ESW’s ground breaking Schools Programme has been running since 2012. It gives pupils from our neighbouring primary schools, Victoria and Trinity, a practical introduction to contemporary art on a weekly basis. The aim is to develop the pupils creativity and confidence, to help them develop their own ideas and express the things that matter to them.

Venue:
Creative Laboratories, ESW, 11-17 June, 10am-4pm
Hawthornvale Space, ESW, 11 June – 14 July, view from the street
